28 February 2007 Ladies Race Social

It is traditional for the last Ladies Race in the series to be a dress up race - followed by a social in the clubrooms afterwards.

Some would say more effort goes into the dressing up than the racing .... and this year that was actually true as the last race was cancelled!!

The Ladies (and the GHYC) would like to extend their grateful thanks to

A keen look at the "Breast Dressed Crew" of Toyshop will reveal that they took the sponsors products to heart. 

Basically you chest had to be there!

Toyshop pre-empting the best dressed crew award with Bubbly.  Better than racing some would say!

 

Robin Willstein (and partner Rick Walker) are staying over in Gulf Harbour on their Voyage 430 Catamaran "Endangered Species" and took the opportunity to introduce their Davis Island Yacht Club Pennant (Tampa, Florida, USA).

 

Not exactly sure the Commodore is looking at the Pennant here...

Young Blood were there (in reduced numbers thankfully) to frighten the judges!

 

The delightful ladies of Sterndl brought some colour back after Young Blood frightened everyone!

 

There were of course pirates present for the evening - they even brought a pirate tablecloth with them and a large cutlass to cut up the hamburgers for the mini pirates

Might be a little envy here??  Of the feather boa of course....

 

Chabot appeared to have a bad hair evening?  Or had the Vice lost his head for the night??

 

No wonder Miles volunteers every year!!
