Taylor & Co Ladies Race 1

The Taylor & Co Ladies Twilight Series got underway with the first race sailed in fairly lively conditions, with the crew on Mayflower working hard and the skipper wondering if they should have taken the advice to use the smaller headsail. Glory Days gallantly decided to step down from entering the series this year after consecutive wins over the last few years. There were two new entries this year, Sniper and Toy Shop. Results pending.

Gulf Harbour Marina Twilight Series - race 1

Gulf Habour Marina Twilight Series 2020-2021 started the new season in spectacular fashion last night. A downwind start towards the yellow mark had 3 of the 12 boats coming in on starboard with the remaining boats tracking along the line on port and several hoisting extras in the process. No doubt the crew on Olympus (Ian Clouston RO, Peter Cooke and John Bruce) had a good view of the raft that appeared to momentarily

Boat Bits and Car Boot Sale

The glorious weather that blessed the Boat Bits and Car Boot Sale at the club seemed to bring out every Man and his Dog. The bargain hunters arrived early and lots were very successful in meeting a mutually satisfactory price with the sellers. For those 'just looking', it was extremely pleasant sitting in the sun enjoying a sausage or coffee and muffin. Several boaties were able to send their fire extinguishers away for testing,

Final Race of the Hibiscus Marine Coatings Winter Series

What an amazing day's sailing - a very fresh Westerly with gusts in the thirties proved a challenging yet thrilling end to the Hibiscus Marine Coatings Winter Series! The atmosphere in the club after was buzzing and the Chase Boat team in particular were in dire need of drying off and warming up after the toughest course laying session of the season.
