Here's some good news if you are looking for an excuse to take the boat out this week. Come and join the Winter Cruising Race.

Bring along your better half, some mates or take onboard some extra crew who are keen to learn.
The starts are in a staggered pursuit format so all boats finish more or less at the same time and then the handicap results are worked out as you stagger, happily wind blown, back to the club for a warm pie.
No extras though, but you can pole out your headsail if you are needing an extra bit of woosh (aka fun).
