Here's some good news if you are looking for an excuse to take the boat out over the next couple of months. Come and join our Winter Cruising series.

This series is an ideal way to have a day out on the water. And if you want, you can bring along your better half, some mates or take onboard some extra crew who are keen to learn.

The starts are in a staggered pursuit format so all boats finish more or less at the same time and then the handicaps are worked out as you stagger, happily wind blown, back to the club for a warm pie.

Courses are chosen on the day to match the weather with some great options that range from 8 to 17 Nm.

No extras though, but you can pole out your headsail if you are needing an extra bit of woosh (aka fun).
