Another picture perfect day on the water for Race 6 of the Combined GHYC-WBC 2021 Hibiscus Marine Coatings Winter Series. Blue skies and paintbrush clouds with a Force 1 E - SE air flow. The white fleet set off with a clean start, some congestion at the pin end with crews jostling for clear air. Enigma I popped out at the front & made an early tack onto port leading the fleet up the Windward leg. Kick and Rogue II had a close battle for the entire race with Rogue II taking the top mark & leading the pack. Also a clean start from the Gold Fleet, although both fleets Sailing into a softening breeze. The downwind leg displayed an a array of different coloured extras hoisted across the fleet as crews worked hard to keep pressure in the sails. For a while the fleet was almost becalmed, leading to RO Richard Brown selecting to shorten the courses. The gold fleet, finished by Sarah and Ted in Chase, at the top of their second windward leg & the white fleet at the bottom of the downwind. Planet X had a great comeback bringing the breeze down with them & allowing the boats at the back of the fleet to pull back in a concertina fashion.

White Fleet- 16 boats with Line Honours to Rogue II
Podium positions: Bronze - Rogue II, Silver - Meister, Gold - Kick

Gold Fleet 8 boats (7 finished) with Line Honours to Cordite
Podium positions: Bronze - Laser, Silver - Steelers Wheel, Gold - Cordite
