Calling All Sailboat Owners

Help put more women on the water.

We'd love to have more sailboats involved so we can welcome even more women onto the water during Women on Water Weekend.

Whether you have a keelboat or a trailer sailor (sorry, no dinghies for this event), we'd love you to take part and help create a memorable weekend for new and experienced sailors alike.

How the Weekend Works

Friday is all about bringing crews together. Participants meet their boat owners, skippers and fellow crew members before heading out for an introductory sail around Gulf Harbour.

Saturday and Sunday feature racing across three divisions, giving both experienced racers and those new to sailing the opportunity to enjoy the weekend in a format that suits them.

Skipper & Crew Arrangements

Spinnaker

Women skipper and helm the boat, with crews encouraged to maximise female participation. One male crew member is permitted with 46 female crew, and two male crew members are permitted where there are more than six women on board.

Non-Spinnaker

The same skipper and crew arrangements apply as the Spinnaker Division.

Harbour

The skipper and helm may be male or female. This division is ideal for newer sailors or those looking for more relaxed sailing. One additional experienced male crew member is also permitted, regardless of the number of women sailing on board.
