Annual BOAT HOP - no need to own a boat to participate
Published 15:30 on 1 Nov 2026
FRIDAY 6 NOVEMBER.
One of the pleasures of being a GHYC member is participating in the annual Boat Hop. An event for ALL MEMBERS as boat owners host 'hoppers' for twilight sundowners whilst safely tied up in the marina.
We meet at THE CLUB at 5.00pm where Boat Owners will pick up their complimentary platter and Hoppers will find out which boats they are visiting and be on their way with BYO drinks by 5.30pm.
6.30pm Hoppers will then 'hop off' to visit their next boat.
7.30pm All back to THE CLUB for a light dinner.
Register as a Boat Host or Hopper by 3rd November. Book early as numbers are limited. Many members say this is their favourite event of the year!
