More wind than expected

A wonderful weekend was had by all competitors for the Burnsco Cruising Race 8 both on and off the water. The forecast suggested a "drift" race to Rakino. However the breeze, although shifty, did allow boats in the fleet to finish the course before lunchtime which allowed the fleet to push on to Owhanake for the evening prize giving and entertainment and to check out Sculpture on the gulf Waiheke. Thanks to Marnie and Phil for being awesome race coordinators and entertainment officers. And special congratulations to two of our winners sailing single handed!
