Perfect winter sailing

Initially, the weather predictions for Race 2 of the YOU Travel Manly Winter Cruising Series were inconsistent, causing uncertainty. Nevertheless, the forecasts eventually synchronized, and a delightful 12-15kt SE breeze materializeda perfect sailing condition for the chosen Course 2, thoughfully selected by Series Coordinator Warren Henderson.A fleet of 12 boats set sail at their own pace from the starting box, and enjoyed an exciting blend of windward, reaching, and downwind sailing angles. Ted, accompanied by the Sailing Committee Chair as crew, had an exceptional race. They not only secured the line honors but also triumphed in the handicap category, which was a fitting achievement given the ongoing Farr 1020 Nationals downtown. It was a pleasure to see Heeling Power and Woodstock joining the race, and thanks goes out to all the supporting club members who ensured everyone's nourishment and hydration.
