Saddle Island Keel Boat Race

A favourable SW breeze gave the fleet a comfortable lay of the GH Buoy. The next leg was downwind to navy buoy, boats splitting either side of the lay line as they gull-winged towards the Tiri Channel. Following a reach up the Channel, a deep reach took them north of Wellington Rock, hardening up to make the yellow buoy north of Coal Mine bay before the final downwind leg to the finish at Sullivans Bay. MSC/RCSF gave the boats a great welcome, ferrying everyone ashore for a picnic lunch, sausage sizzle and the Prize Giving.
