Sunday 26 Jan 2020 Combined GHYC-MCC-WBC interclub race (MCC Control) 1300 start

Starting between Pudding Island and start vessel Tranquility, in a light S/SE breeze, the 3 boats attempting to start on

port tack were challenged by the rest of the 16 strong fleet bearing down on startboard. Some swift manouvering

left Mayflower drifting past Tranquility as the rest of the boats headed for an anticlockwise sail around Motuora.

Heading upwind the fleet split into small groups with friendly tussles continuing throughout the race, and after

rounding the NE tip of the island the wind made for an enjoyable reach to the finish.
