Winter Series Sailing in the Sunshine

The Hibiscus Marine Coatings Winter Series got off to an awesome start in brilliant winter sunshine! With a Northerly 12 knot breeze, conditions were perfect for both regulars and newbies to take part in this this popular racing series with 20 boats out on the course. Weiti Boating Club set a perfect start line and despite a wind shift to the top mark all boats gracefully sailed around the Olympic course with the White Division providing a colourful spectacle with extras being flown.

Podium: Joint 1st - Big Kahoona & Fast Lane; 3rd - Southern Rebel

Gold Division: Line Honours -Whirinaki IV

Podium: 1st - Whirinaki IV; 2nd - Blazin White; 3rd - Patiko
